Houston CPA Society Presents Award to Paul A. Vanek

HOUSTON, TEXAS (May 27, 2011) - The Houston CPA Society presented to Paul A. Vanek, Managing Member of The Vanek Consultancy Group, LLC, the award of Outstanding CPA of the Year for the year 2010-2011 at its annual awards ceremony at the Brae Burn Country Club on May 26, 2011.

"I am humbled to receive this award," said Mr. Vanek.  "It is a wonderful honor to be recognized by my peers in the Society.  Though I may have received this award, there were many people that I worked along side with this past year to accomplish so many meaningful things.  This award represents a tremendous amount of teamwork by a group of dedicated professionals trying to make a difference in the community."

Mr. Vanek is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Houston CPA Society (the "Society") in the capacity of Coordinating Director of the Membership Development Committee.  He is also the Chair of the Society's Annual Fall Charity Event, the 22nd Annual Golf Classic, benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana.  He will be the Treasurer-Elect for 2011-2012, and will also be the Chair of the Society's Finance Committee and a member of the Investment Committee.
